Probably has something to do with this card game sequence. Just a guess.

Their outfits are Yu-Gi-Oh! inspired, which is a little weird given that, in context, all the visuals are from Grace's imagination. All the monsters and such make sense given that the cards have art on them that Grace can see, but their outfits are a case of saying "screw the rules, this is parody."
