We're a conveniently relevant and coherent dream away from getting a "ways to avoid making introspection boring" Bingo and I apologize for NOTHING!
But, as per usual, I am sorry.
I had wanted to make the background more interesting than a vague gradient. Such a thing is fine in this context, but I thought I could imply a nifty cloud floor, and I put together the basis for one I could reuse in all the panels.
It wound up looking like brains. It was, in context, quite freaky. I decided vague gradients for this particular page were lovely and good.
