When some people draw goblins, they draw a LOT of goblin.
This is, in complete seriousness, showing restraint.
Jay is commenting on the in-universe card art in panel one, so something like that is canonically on the card.
Tedd would be wearing black lipstick in panel three, but that can look awkward with the inside of mouths being black, so I went for a dark grey instead.
