I had originally planned to make both the first and second panel as blurry to readers as they were to Pandora, and maybe some of you would have actually appreciated that, but I decided I didn't want to blur either of them. Hopefully someone somewhere wanted to clearly see that monster face.
Reason three thousand nine hundred and fifty seven as to why we're getting Pandora memory narration here is because past Pandora trying to convey what she's figuring out in real time would feel a lot like someone taking their sweet time to do something.
