The anime character being referenced is Present Mic from My Hero Academia. Personally, my mind went directly for Banshee from the X-Men, but I don't know how well known he is these day.
I'm also sort of making a game out of referencing contemporary things that arguably don't fit the timeline of EGS without directly mentioning them. Sure, I've said what I was referring to in this commentary, but who knows what Catalina was actually referring to in-universe!
It's like a game of quantum chicken.
Except I don't know what that means, and it's probably not.
I just wanted to say "a game of quantum chicken".
It was everything I imagined it would be.
