I don't know how common it is to have a steady schedule when working part-time, but my experience in the past has always been a fluctuating schedule with very little input from the part time employees (even if they request to not be scheduled at times due to silly little things like classes).

Speaking of fluctuating schedules, I'm not sure if the next storyline will begin Thursday or Monday. I'm tempted to have it start Monday for a number of reasons, but I also don't want people to throw shoes at me, so Thursday carries a certain appeal. We shall see.
