Ironically, this initially response to the idea is just one more thing they have in common.
There's a lot one can say about Susan's mom, but she is the sort of woman who would leave a path of destruction in her wake should anyone mess with her daughter. If she had another missing daughter, her quest to find that daughter would be difficult to miss.
According to Susan, anyway.
