Sometimes, when I make visual choices, I do try to consider what others are likely to prefer.
For this comic, I kicked that thought out the window and drew Elliot how I wanted to draw Elliot.
Not that I imagine an onslaught of people opposing how I drew Elliot, mind you. It's just there were choices (such as eyelashes and lipstick) that I briefly considered not doing because I imagined negative hypothetical feedback.
Then I looked at my plush Honey Badger, Oda, and I knew what I had to do: Not give a carp, and draw what I want.
I mean, to be fair, I was reacting to imagined reactions that were pushing me to not do something I wanted to do. Probably best to listen to the plushie Honey Badger I named after the creator of One Piece.
