When I first conceived of this storyline, I wasn't planning to comment directly on how metaphors and allegory can fall apart under scrutiny and/or nitpicking (the latter still being scrutiny, but of the sort that makes others roll their eyes).

Then the ideas I liked most messed up the cohesiveness of many interpretations of what "pizza" could represent, and I was left with the one direction to go in.

Granted, I like the direction. I just didn't know I was going to be going that way when I first decided to finally have a comic with someone trash talking something in a something shop.
