I fear my concern for making it clear that Tedd was simply teasing in the last panel might have resulted in an odd delivery, but that's fine. It's fine! ALL OF THE THINGS ARE FINE.
I'm not sure how to explain waifu. A particular fondness for a character, one that I've usually seen presented in a comical manner while expressing affection? I don't think I've ever heard it not said in a joking tone, though the fondness for the character was generally real.
Bae seems similar, though it apparently has the unfortunate distinction of referring to something resulting from bodily function if speaking Danish, which of course Grace knows about because she's Grace. She's not fluent, however. That would obviously be too much.
Game Details (spoiler town)
Anyone who's played the game knows the exact moment Grace decided "the fork with pacisifism". For those who haven't, Deus Ex cares about making choices matter, and there's a point in which your decision not to fight (or not fight aggressively enough) can get an ally killed.
This was something I didn't know the first time I played and was being all no kill, and my ally died. I'm not sure what happened next, but the next thing I remember is all the enemies in the area being very, very dead. Strange, that.
