Inspired by various reactions to Ashley talking about labels.

I can understand why people felt compelled to point out that labels can have benefits, and one of the reasons I can understand this is because I got the same reactions in reverse after Tedd learned about the term "gender fluid".

I've said it before, and I'll say it again: Labels are a double edged sword. They have their upsides, they have their downsides, they have their grey areas. Reality is a complicated place.

If I had to bottomline someone resembling a point, I'd say one shouldn't call others things they don't want to be called unless intentionally insulting them.
