In defiance of gravity? That's nothing. Susan is planning to act in defiance of everything we understand about human nature and actually read the instructions in her spellbook!
Personally, I would both be excited about and terrifed of using the fairy doll spell. I'd be simultaneously excited by the possibilities and imagining various horrible ways everything could go wrong. Granted, magic in EGS is ridiculously reliable (relatively speaking) by design, but I'm assuming a scenario in which I wouldn't also be the guy writing things.
