I can't honestly say these are entirely unreasonable concerns. I mean, sure, there are bound to be reserved fans of anime and manga who would be totally chill about seeing cat girl Catalina, but this reaction was prompted by people whose fashion choices make it immediately apparent that they're super in to it.
On the other hand, we haven't heard "Plan C" yet, so...
