Tensaided's not a stranger to Tedd by this point, and an interest in experimental deck design is 100% something they have in common.
It's one of those things I didn't plan for far in advance for this storyline, but it's also an example of how I have fun writing. Some things are planned, possibly even years in advance, but others are the result of whatever happens when two or more parts of the puzzle are thrown at each other, and that's a lot of the fun for me.
If I was less concerned with future continuity and being sure I was building to something in each storyline, more storylines would start with no ending planned. It would just be "I'm tossing these things together, and we'll find out together what happens".
