I feel like this is the sort of thing a person will relate to and understand, or they won't.
Part of me imagines the difference is whether someone knows that feeling of things being decided for you, and not having a say in something important.
That's a feeling I know well, though it's not always fair. I sometimes feel like I don't have a say in something when I absolutely do. The issue in those situations is that I don't want a confrontation, and have trouble saying no. It can feel like I don't have a say in a situation which, no, I do have a say, but saying it is scary.
Which is somewhat tangential to this page, but I felt it worth addressing.
Meanwhile, Diane was initially furious that a choice was taken from her, but she already made a choice that will inevitable involve Raven in her life, and it matters to her that it was a choice that she made.
Which is just me explaining the page, which is a bit of a no-no, but the rest of the commentary felt like an incomplete thought without it.
