No hard feelings towards anyone who would have preferred I didn't begin this storyline with an abridged visual recap of Raven Vs Abraham.
It's something I had wanted to avoid, but in the end, there were a few reasons I decided to do it, it'll flow well on rereads, it'll be done on the next page, and that last panel, I think, is pretty nifty.
Granted, that panel was a nightmare to do. I didn't think through dark birds in front of a dark cloud when I decided on that angle, and figuring out how I was going to shade everything so it wasn't just an incomprehensible blob took me way longer than I'd expected.
I'm happy with the end result, but ye gods, I TRULY did not think through the complications I was creating for myself with that angle.
