I feel called out.
When I first started writing this page, my instinct was to leap into all the various societal excuses for keeping magic a secret, such as the various dangers of magic itself, and how people might react.
Then I remembered that MAGIC ITSELF wanted to be a secret, thanked past me for making that a thing so this could be kept simple, and immediately proceeded to thoroughly mock my own story.
