Commentary
As much as I don't want to put off having the next story comic until Wednesday, March 9th, there are several things I need to get sorted out before Part 7 begins.
There's nothing ominous about that, I assure you.
As for this phone call, don't worry, I'm going to immediately answer the most obvious question a person might have:
Why is Edward having this conversation on the other side of the basement, and not on the second floor upstairs?
The basement is like the lower bun of the house, and the second floor is the toppings (the roof is the top bun). There is a whole hamburger's worth of floor he could have put between himself and people he didn't want hearing it!
Well, the in-universe explanation is simple: The other person called him.
The "whoops look what Dan did" reason is also simple: I established him being in the basement, and it would've been even more awkward to suddenly show him in a room with nice furniture and such when it was last established he was doing laundry.
Granted, there aren't a lot of details in the far corner of a basement, so I wound up adding narration, which makes it awkward anyway.
...
In any case, that is the single most important question answered! HOORAY!
