What do you mean I have to start at the beginning?!
This page took quite a bit longer than one would expect given how much of it is, well, a floating stick.
Kevin was a factor, however! I wound up doing a lot of experimenting with backgrounds, particularly with the last panel. I've done burst effects like that before, but I did a bit of experimenting with making new ones, and now I have more options for the future!
Let's all just ignore that it made a panel with that foreground take a while.
Panel two was a bit of an odd one, because I did a bunch of complicated character layering, basically separating Elliot's bangs, head, body, and the rest of his hair, as an experiment.
For panel two on this page, there was literally no benefit to doing this.
For future pages with more complicated characters (such as, say, GRACE), this sort of thing could be really, really helpful.
So another "slowed this page down, but will help future pages" thing.
Given how I'm wired, it's PROBABLY for the best to do the SCIENCE! when the mood strikes, and it does sorta make sense to do it with pages where you won't wind up posting at three in the morning because of it.
Thanks, Kevin!
