EGS is Twenty Years old today! WOO!
Thank you all for reading and supporting the comic! If I can do twenty more years, I will.
As for today, I'm celebrating by posting the page I would have anyway so the story can progress.
I feel it's a pretty hype way to celebrate.
And now, the commentary proper
- "I was expecting 'princess'."
- "...The royal bloodlines have the strongest magic..."
After twenty years of comics (yay), one might wonder how I know where to reference.
Well, in this case, it was because I needed to double-check to make sure the griffins had actually said the royalty thing was linked with power, and that it wasn't just some plot detail I had in mind, but not yet on-page.
Then I found the page in which Andrea the griffin says that, yes, it had something to do with power. PHEW.
Bishop
First of all, yes.
She's very tall.
I didn't originally have younger Edward say "Bishop", but after I decided to draw younger Bishop as I did, I worried about people even recognizing her.
I mean, sure, the face is different, and her hair is longer, but the big confusing factor was that she's not dressed like a snake-themed super villain. What's up with THAT?
Speaking of that panel, I wrote a whole bunch of dialogue for Verres to explain the details about why they didn't get along well, and decided "no."
"I only need one panel for this."
