- Magic doesn't want to go mainstream
Magic is taking its ball and going home!
UGH. I'm not even going to tell you how many times I rewrote this comic to make it easier to follow. It's not terribly complicated, but there are a lot of separate points, and it's really easy to make it sound more convoluted and confusing than it has to be.
I mean, really, his points boils down to these:
1 - The emissary is contacting Grace this way because he has no other option.
2 - Hipster magic doesn't want everyone to know how to get magic.
3 - People are taking a closer look at magic and making actual progress.
4 - Magic for humans is in danger of changing because of this.
Heck, just those summary points wound up wordy.
I will say that The Emissary isn't talking about Tedd in that last panel. Tedd always took magic seriously.
