But really, who else was Tedd going to play against this round? There's just no way his opponent was going to be anybody else. One of them could have a perfect win record and the other nothing but losses and they'd still wind up playing a card game against each other for it is their destiny to play a card game.

I'm actually pretty sure their win / loss record is even or close, however, given that a bye effectively counts as a win. You can double check that if you want, but whatevs. Like I said: DESTINY.
